Project: Technology refresh providing Turn-key end to end Passive Optical LAN (POL) Network Infrastructure Upgrade and Corning Mobile Access Distributed Antenna System (DAS)
Network Footprint: 1,800 users across a 14-building campus on 87 acres
Services Provided: Noovis was contracted as a Turnkey Solution Provider for the project management, design, engineering, installation, testing, turn up, integration and ongoing O&M services and support of CCI’s Communitywide Network. The Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) is used to support Erickson’s “Erickson Connect” program and supports all of their Voice, Data, Wi-Fi and Cellular requirements for residents and corporate teams alike.
Noovis services provided included:
- Turn-key design/build of the Fiber to the Home (FttH) deployment
- Design and re-construct the Campus Main Data Frame closet
- Design, deployment and provisioning of GPON electronics
- Managed the local electrical contractor for all power requirements related to the network upgrade
- Carrier coordination responsibilities to negotiate the associated Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) agreements between the client and the wireless service provider – Verizon Wireless
- Placement and testing of all cabling and antenna’s supporting the WiFi and Cellular network
- Racked, stacked, spliced in and tested all electronics and fiber optic cabling associated with the communitywide network
